The physical center is home to a library, a community lounge, a reservable conference room, staff offices and a variety of resources. Our community lounge is open to all students, faculty, and staff. All student organizations, as well as offices and departments, that wish to reserve our conference can check availability and reserve by emailing lgbtq@umd.edu. Our team is available to meet with students, faculty, and staff by appointment, and often work to help the campus community address needs, build community, and foster a network of inclusion. The LGBTQ+ Equity Center is open Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm. Three days per week, the Equity Center hosts a recess from 12pm - 2pm with structured activities designed to promote community building and a sense of belonging. Recesses range from social meet ups to gaming, and movies to rest work. In the evenings, student organizations meet in our center. Student organizations (and offices and departments) that wish to reserve our center may do so on a first come, first served basis by reaching out to our team at lgbtq@umd.edu. Accessing the Center: The layout of Marie Mount Hall is not intuitive. For the most direct and wheelchair accessible path to the Center, enter Marie Mount Hall from Chapel Lane. When you enter Marie Mount Hall from Chapel Lane take the elevator on the left side of the small lobby. Once inside the elevator select floor 2. When you exit the elevator you will be directly in front of the Center in room 2411.
